Chad H. submitted these photos of a 1911 Kewanee boiler found in the basement of a former post office/municipal building in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Chad said this about the building:
“The building is called the Church Street Station, it was built in 1911 and housed the municipal court and post office. The building is 4 stories, one of those being basement, where the boilers reside.
The building is for sale and is owned by a friend of mine, the municipal court, post office and police left the building in 1995 and has been a restaurant, loft apartments, and venue ever since. Asbestos abatement occurred in the building around 12 years ago and included the boilers insulation and piping so the boilers were taken out of service around that time. We are currently afraid the building if not sold soon the structure will have to be raised.”
