Lostant was a repeater station along a telephone/television route spanning from the St. Louis toll office to Chicago. It had hops to Norway, to the northeast, and Metamora, to the southwest.
Structures at the Lostant site include a 304-foot, self-supported lattice tower and an equipment shelter that appeared to be a typical block design that had been stucco’ed over at some point.
The site is located about 2.5 miles northwest of Lostant at 292 North 16th Road.
